In 2005 over 64,000 accidents resulting in personal injury involved a skid. 

Even the most experienced drivers can encounter a situation where they lose control of their car, for example, black ice or fuel spills.  For this reason we have developed our unique Skid Control Course. 

Would you know what to do?

Most drivers tend to freeze or react incorrectly in any loss of control scenario.  The reason for this is that drivers are under extreme pressure in an unfamiliar and potentially dangerous situation.  

In just two hours, our Skid Control Course can give drivers experience of every possible skid scenario.  Using our unique Swedish Skid Car system, our instructors can create and alter any loss of control scenario to constantly challenge and educate the driver at a pace to suit his/her abilities.  The objective of the training is to instil into drivers through practice, the ability to recognise the situation they are in and thereby create instinctive responses and significantly reduce risks.  

The Skid Control Course is a 2 hour course comprising:

• Classroom theory briefing
• Instructor skid demonstration and Hands-on skid practice
• Instructor braking technique demo ABS and non-ABS and hands-on practice
• Timed Slalom Event – Enjoy putting your new found skills into practice against the stop-watch.  The object of the slalom is to encourage drivers into a loss of control scenario to practice their skills and increase confidence in a safe and controlled environment.  Drivers learn through experience where the limit of adhesion is, therefore giving them the ability to drive within those limits whilst also practicing the skills required if they stray outside the limits.

Each pupil successfully completing the course will be awarded a Certificate as a memento of the experience and a discounted opportunity to join one of our Race Circuit sessions.  Where the individual has been placed on the course by their company, a sign off sheet will be provided for inclusion in the individual’s HR file in support of the Company’s MORR policy.
